“The money is in the lists.”
As an affiliate marketer you’ve probably heard that one hundreds of times.
And it’s true – but not if you’re doing it wrong!
It should read ‘Money is in the lists only if you know what you’re doing’.
If you’re taking a stab at it, though, chances are that you’re doing it wrong and you’re costing yourself cold, hard cash.
On a list of affiliate marketing mistakes, messing up your list building reigns supreme.
Botch that one and everything you do after will have a significantly diminished impact.
It’s like trying to run a marathon with a 50-pound weight strapped to your ankle.
You’ll get to the finish line, eventually, but you’ll probably get there last and with a mangled leg.
Save yourself some time and brush up on list building mistakes to avoid.
Not building a list!
I really don’t want to waste too much time on this one.
Bottom line – if you’re not building a list, you are doing it wrong. End of discussion.
With it, you will be able to reach more people, warm them up to your offers, build a natural relationship with people on it, and more.
The average return on every dollar you spend on email marketing is $44.25!
Pass it up at your own peril.
Build it, expand it, and nurture it and they will come. Sales, I mean.
Not Managing Your Lists The Right Way
You really can’t do much without one these days. You will be sending out hundreds of emails to your lists and you need the reliability that autoresponder services provide.
- Deliverability – a good autoresponder service makes sure that your email lands in the inbox instead of being singled out and tossed in the junk folder.
- Insurance – you can back up your lists regularly and make sure that they are protected in case something goes belly up or your data gets corrupted.
- Autopilot – simply schedule your emails to go out to certain segments of your list at a predetermined date and time.
There are more benefits to working with a professional autoresponder service but these ones will give the biggest boost to your overall marketing efforts.
As for specific services, you might want to try out.
- ListStream (a service that we provide) – Designed by email marketers for email marketers!
- Aweber – Aweber currently boasts the best deliverability rates so if that’s you primary concern make sure to test it out
- MailChimp – MailChimp is user friendly and gives you the added benefit of managing your smaller lists (up to 500 in size) without charge. If you’re just starting out you will want to give it a try.
- ConvertKit – This service has been growing in popularity in 2015 and is expected to do so this year as well. One of its strongest points is the superb segmentation feature.
Asking something for nothing
Imagine I knocked on your door and asked for $10.
Would you give them to me? Or slam the door to my face?
Same applies when you’re asking people for their email address.
It’s a game of tit for tat – you have to offer something of substantial value to your audience in order to get them to subscribe.
They are well-aware of the fact that you will use their email to try and sell them something and they are reluctant to give it for free.
- In-depth guides
- Case studies
- Exclusive videos
These are just several types of content you can use to get people to relinquish their precious email address to your keeping.
Leverage the power of lead magnets and you will soon see a ton of opt-ins.
A poorly designed squeeze page
A squeeze page in affiliate marketing list building should be about one thing and one thing only: getting people to subscribe.
Regardless of whether it’s an opt-in page you drive people to or a pop-up opt-in page they get served right before their click the X button, it should be void of all distractions and frills.
A lot of times I see a lot of frivolous copy on there and even more distracting images but what’s lacking is substance, a hook, and a clear call to action.
Make sure your squeeze page is nice and clean and tells people what they’re going to get in exchange for leaving their email address with you.
PRO TIP: Test everything! Every once in a while pick one element on your squeeze page and fiddle with it.
Change the action word from ‘TRY THIS’ to ‘GET THIS’, change the color of your call to action button, play with the copy, or try a different freebie – shake things up and see what gets the best results.
The point is to keep tweaking everything until you get it just right.
Poor opt-in form design and placement
If you have a blog than making sure that your opt-in form is visible and gets attention is crucial.
Otherwise, you’re failing to transform casual readers into dedicated subscribers.
First, you will want to keep your opt-in form at the top of the page.
Clean design and a clear call to action will go a long way in getting people to notice it.
Also, you will want to keep it light when it comes to information you’re collecting.
Getting their name is great but people are lazy.
If you see that your opt-in form is not performing as it should, try to reduce its elements to bare essentials – ask for their email only and collect their name with an offer of exclusive content once you start emailing them.
PRO TIP: If one of your posts goes viral, jump at the opportunity to make use of it.
I got lucky a couple of times – I got a ton of links to several of my posts and managed to grow my lists substantially just by adding my opt-in form to the bottom of every post, right before the comments sections.
These were great popular posts that people appreciated so they were not hesitant to leave their email with me in the hopes of getting some quality content in the future.
However, I made the decision easier for them by adding the opt-in for right after content.
When it comes to list building, make sure you’re learning from other people’s mistakes and you will save both time and money.
The sooner you get your lists up and running, the sooner they will start generating income.
Mess things up and all that revenue is a passed opportunity, you’re never getting it back.

Recently I met Michael. Michael has been in the affiliate marketing business for 3 years now.
He was skeptical at first so he started off slowly, devoting maybe two days a week to his affiliate activities without getting all that much in return.
Sure, he was getting some money on the side but he wasn’t getting rich.
Until one day when things started to pick up. This was in early 2015. He started putting in more work into promoting his offers, building up lists, and generating leads.
By summer, Michael has pocketed over $ 80, 000 in commissions!
He was ecstatic – as everyone in their right mind would be, right?
His offers were a golden goose that will keep on giving for years, or so he thought.
The reality set in about 6 months ago, just around Christmas.
His monthly revenue started to dwindle down to a fraction of what it was just a month ago and he was lucky to make a $ 1,000 that month.
The following months just kept getting worse.
Every single affiliate marketer I know has faced this in their career.
You’re riding a high for a few months and then all of the sudden you’re down on your knees struggling to make ends meet.
How do people consistently make money with affiliate marketing?
What is the trick to keeping your revenue steady and growing, year in and year out?
These are tough questions to answer but if you don’t find a solution to them you will quickly find yourself in Michael’s position – a month away from having to proactively look for a job in this crashing economy because you can no longer make enough to provide for yourself and your family through affiliate marketing.
Here are some affiliate marketing tips that I believe will count in 2016 as much as they did previously.
Unfortunately, not a lot of people go by them, which is why I believe they are not getting the success they are after.
Be smarter – use these to keep your revenue growing consistently.
Find out what worked and replicate it…
Affiliate marketers have a lot of techniques at their disposal when it comes to marketing offers.
Most of the time, we’re running a couple of different tactics at the same time to maximize our profits.
This is both good and bad. It’s good because diversification is key – bad because it’s hard to glean what’s working.
If you had enormous success in the past you will want to know what triggered it, right.
Think hard about the following:
- What offers were you promoting and how?
- Did you collect your own leads or purchased them?
- With which affiliate network did you have most success?
- Did you have outside help: copywriter for your emails and presell, social media assistant, a person responsible for lead generation, etc.?
- How often were you emailing your lists?
The key to your past success lies in something that you were doing at the time but you’re not doing right now.
Make sure to comb through that success and replicate everything you back then.
The trick might lie in one thing alone but it can also be the results of all of those things combined. Once you identify what works you will have a blueprint for success.
Nurture relationships with key managers in affiliate networks…
Most affiliate networks assign an account manager to you and that person’s job is to help you grow and make money.
A lot of marketers forget this. Personally, I maintain a very close relationship with all the managers I work with.
I even have their Skype contacts and I wholeheartedly advise you to connect with yours over Skype too.
This way they will always be a call away if you have any questions or doubts.
Consider saying hi occasionally and asking about new developments.
You will be surprised by the amount of stuff you can learn from your account manager – things that you can use to tweak your tactics and earn more money!
Establish and grow your personal brand!
One of the best ways to build a brand is to start your own blog in the niche you’re working in. This will allow you to:
- Teach people about the products you’re promoting
- Answer people’s questions and help solve their problems
- Write and publish quality articles and in-depth guides that will hopefully give you exposure in organic search results
- Use your blog to connect with other influencers in your niche – guest post regularly and create content that will serve as link and social bait
- Grow social media presence and get people to follow you and share your content
The purpose of growing your personal brand is to establish yourself as an expert and a thought leader in your niche.
Once you do that, people will easily buy from you since they will know you’re trustworthy and knowledgeable. To learn more about personal brand building, check out this in-depth guide from Quicksprout.
Have goals and keep them…
- Revenue goals – What are you aiming for on a daily, weekly, and a monthly basis? Knowing how much you need and want to earn will help you devise a marketing tactic that will get you there.
- Cost goals – as an affiliate marketer you will be bootstrapping a lot which is helpful when you need to keep your overall cost low. Setting a limit on much you can spend on a monthly basis for lead generation, advertising, and overhead costs will ensure that you have a profitable bottom line. The last thing you want is to have your costs eat through your revenue.
- Traffic goals – To increase your revenue you will either have to sell more expensive products or sell more of what you have to. For the second to happen you will need to focus on growing your traffic. This can be done by publishing relevant content and driving people to your offers the good, old organic way.
Develop a daily schedule for all your affiliate marketing activities…
Knowing what you have to do and when will go a long way towards making sure that things actually get done.
- Have a content schedule along with guest posts planned a month ahead
- Set up an email autoresponder sequence and keep in touch with your subscribers on a regular basis
- Schedule regular third-party traffic and lead generation activities – don’t rely exclusively on organic traffic
- Set time aside to study new offers that you might want to pick up and market
- Participate in online conversation – make sure that you answer all the comments on your blog and build rapport with your readers
Of course, only you know what has to be done and when so this list will probably grow a bit larger than it is here.
Make sure you cover every aspect of your day to day activities and try not to neglect anything.
Keep building bridges…
Ultimately, you’re in this for the sales and profits, but that doesn’t mean that those two things are the only aspect of this business you need to be focusing on.
Some of your interactions will not result in an immediate sale.
Your first instinct might be to disengage – not to answer emails from an overbearing potential customer, dropping networks that seem like too much hassle, or not lending a helping hand to fellow marketers when they reach out.
I strongly advise against this. Build bridges for the future.
You never know when that potential customer might have a particular scratch to itch – if you were helpful they will run to you and might become the best customer you’ve ever had.
Some of your colleagues might profile themselves as a thought leader in your niche pretty soon – if you were there for them it’s more likely they will be there for you, too.
Bottom line: you make money from people and being a good person doesn’t cost much but it can turn out to be extremely rewarding.
Keep up with the industry…
Affiliate marketing is constantly changing and evolving.
A couple of years ago it was all about how persistent you were and about the size of your lists.
Today, it’s about how helpful you are, whether or not you have good content, and did you invest enough time into building your own personal brand.
Tomorrow, it’s going to be about something else.
Keep up with the changes: check out those new and emerging affiliate networks, do a bit of investigating about that new niche that cropped up, and stay on top of tools people are using to turn their hard work into success.
Everything is constantly moving forward so you better be able to follow.
These affiliate marketing tricks will help you position yourself in your niche.
Of course, there is more to it so make sure to check back in as I’ll be posting regularly about how you can supercharge your efforts and achieve affiliate marketing success.
No two words drive people into frenzy today more than these.
Don’t worry this post isn’t about politics. It’s about you making thousands every week while working anywhere and anytime you choose.
But first back to the Don.
Everybody knew Donald Trump was outspoken before he ran for office. But did anyone know he could stir the pot up as much as he has?
Trump kicked off his campaign in a way that immediately made him more relevant than he had ever been. And ever since it has been one controversial stat or another group who loves or hates Donald Trump.
It seems like you can’t read the news today without seeing one article about something Trump said and who is pissed off about it and who wants him in office ASAP.
Who knew Trump had so many controversial opinions? He was never in the news this much before now saying all this stuff before.
Is it a coincidence?
Here’s a hint: All of Trump’s interviews are held somewhere in a Trump building where people can see him.
No. It’s no coincidence that Trump has been in the news so much.
It’s strategy. And it’s working.
Trump is the front-runner in the primary election at a time when people thought he would’ve dropped out months ago!
And it’s because he is soaking up everyone’s attention. The media and the public can’t wait to see what Trump will say next and it’s suffocating the other candidates for media attention.
Even though what he is saying is pissing off half of the country, people love to talk about him. And that is what is keeping him relevant and in the lead.
But what does Trump’s strategy have to do with you?
His system works so well that he can say other things that would be political suicide for other politicians while he gets more supporters for it.
And now that you have access to a system that works so well that you can leave behind your desk job and make more money every week than you did in a month at your old job.
The system is called MTTB and it is a fortune-making machine.
MTTB works on the simple concept that people get on the internet.
As long as people are getting on the internet, the ads that people like you place will get views, which lead to sales commissions.
And those sales commissions are making people rich right now.
MTTB works so well that if you don’t make a commission within 30 days of finishing your training you will get a refund of the $49 you paid to join.
Notice the lack of “full” in front of refund? That’s because it wont be a full refund.
It will be a refund times 10.
If you don’t make money using MTTB you will get a check for $500.
So now that you have a $500 insurance policy, will you join MTTB and make a fortune? Click here to learn more.
Quentin Tarantino has never been the one to play by the rules.
And his non-linear, gore filled films have always been popular because of it.
But he is about to take that to a whole new level.
Because his next film The Hateful Eight is 3 hours long with an intermission and an overture. The film will also have title cards that will begin each chapter of the film.
And that’s just the structure.
You can bet your house that those three hours are going to be filled with enough cursing to make a sailor say, “Wow!” and enough gore to make a zombie say, “No thanks!”.
And while some people might think that since the film is so different from what people are used to, it won’t do well. But that is exactly the reason as to why The Hateful Eight will do well.
At a time where people can sit through a minute of commercials without getting on their phone why would they pay to sit through a film that is 3 hours long?
The average person who is walking down the street listens to music while checking their emails while thinking about what they are going to Netflix when they get home.
And people are going to watch one thing for 3 hours?
You bet they are.
Because Tarantino has a system that is entertaining and people know it. His system of extremes gore and character with mouths they couldn’t kiss their mothers with in situations where killing is the only clear solution is incredibly entertaining.
That’s why he can make a film that is three hours long.
Because he has a proven system that works like a charm.
And now you have a chance to be a part of a system that works just as well as Tarantino’s but can make you thousands of dollars every week while you get to work in your underwear.
It’s called MTTB and it is THE cash cow.
Matt Lloyd created MTTB and used it to earn $51,373,000 over 5 years. And his company has sent out over $25 million in sales commissions to people just like you.
MTTB makes money so well because it works when people get on the internet and see the ads that people like you place.
So as long as people are getting on the Internet you have a chance to make money.

“Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.” – Abraham Lincoln
There’s debate about whether Lincoln even said it or not. But damn does it say a lot.
The quote captures the kind of thinking that separates the haves from the have-nots. The successful from the unsuccessful. The people who prosper and the people who just get by.
Because it is saying that it’s better to work smarter and not harder.
Time is more valuable than any perks
You can bang away at your desk job for the next 40 years and retire with savings that will get you by. Maybe you will even be able to take a trip somewhere you always wanted to go.
But you won’t be able to get those 40 years back where you worked you butt of instead of enjoying your time.
And you can work a job that you know will always deliver a paycheck and you will never have to worry about how much you will make. And you will get your raises with that paycheck.
But you will also have to deal with getting the same paycheck every month. A paycheck that is split and into a hundred pieces and sent off until there is nothing left for you. And raises that are few and far between.
What we are talking about here is what Lincoln would’ve avoided.
Mindlessly swinging a blunt axe at a tree and taking what you can get from it instead of working smarter and getting results.
The good news is you can change all that today.
If you keep reading you will discover a system that will allow you to earn thousands every week while working from your computer.
“My Top Tier Business system” is the epitome of working smarter and not harder.
Because the more people get on the Internet. The more you have a chance to make money.

A young man once met up with a politician over coffee.
The young man was new to the country; so he didn’t know anything about the government there.
They talked for over 2 hours, and the young man was blown away by the politician’s intelligence. He seemed to have an answer to every question. He could easily explain things. He had a brilliant a plan for making the country a better place. He was charismatic, likeable, persuasive.
The young man walked away from the meeting thinking to himself:
“Wow. If this country’s government is filled with people like that, surely it’s one of the most effective, efficient, productive, and reliable organizations in the world.”
Of course, if you know anything about national governments…
You know they’re anything but efficient. Even though they often are full of intelligent, charismatic people. Full of geniuses.
So why is that? Won’t an organization just get better the more smart people there are in it?
Well, no. Here’s why:
1 smart individual makes a smart individual. But 1,000 smart individuals makes a mob.
And mobs can’t think. Or act. Or do anything effectively. Because in a mob, there’s a 1,000 competing ideas about what’s best.
Which is why many businesses are so inefficient. They’re just big mobs. Full of smart people… but mobs nonetheless.
You just don’t have to deal with those problems when you’re running your own business. If you’re running your own business, then whenever you learn things, you can immediately implement what you learned. You don’t have to ask permission. You don’t have to fight the system. You don’t have to fill out paperwork. You can just do stuff.
That’s not to say that you won’t face any problems in running your own business. On the contrary, you’ll need to learn how to:
-create a good product
-market/advertise your product
-sell your product
-have some sort of customer service team in place
…and much more.
My Top Tier Business is meant to solve those problems, that are unique to running your own business.
It provides you with:
-done-for-you, quality products
-a phone sales team that sells for you
AND it teaches you, step by step, how to drive traffic to the highly-converting sales funnel that’s already in place.
In 21 steps, it takes you from ‘knowing nothing about starting a business’ to ‘generating big commissions on big ticket products via online marketing.’
No mob to deal with. No hassle or bureaucracy. Which is how people using this system have made over $30,000,000 in commissions… in 4 years.
$49, and the 21 steps, sales team, big-ticket product, customer service, and personal coach are yours.
